You definitely want to hear Megan speak.

What’s an
Anti-Accountant?

(And why would I want to hire
one to speak at my event?)

Creative business owners want to know what the future holds for their business. They seek solutions, direction, innovative ideas, and a new perspective on how to make their business a source of security and joy.

The last thing they want is a lecture on their numbers. It's like going to the dentist and girding yourself against the flossing sermon you know is coming.

Megan takes audiences on a journey through complex business finance in a witty, engaging and informative way. Her ability to break dry, intimidating accounting concepts into digestible bits leaves her listeners excited and confident for the future.

Megan is not the speaker you’d expect when you think “Accountant”. Sure, she’s a professional accountant and can dig a story out of financial statements, but she doesn’t fling terms like “ammortization” and “profit margin” at your audience.

She’s more like an Anti-Accountant. You know… like an anti-hero only in nerd format.

An Anti-Accounant knows how to play the game, but also breaks the typical accountant mold by rejecting the rampant gate-keeping, rigid because-that’s-how-it’s-always-been-done “rules”, and unhelpful jargon that leads to the frustration most business owners experience with their finances. An Anti-Accountant uses the financial statements as a starting point - a backstory of sorts.

And this is where the fun starts.

Megan digs in where most bookkeepers and accountants run and where the financial statements end. What’s missing for the vast majority of business owners is the most important part: Seeing the future.

Beyond simply having a vision, how can we use what we know to make your ideas, goals and vision a reality?

Hi, I’m Megan.

I started going gray when I was 14. As a teenager I imagined that made me wise.

Now the source of my wisdom is having over 18 years of experience in the world of business and accounting. I’ve seen hundreds of entrepreneurs running on the hamster wheel, working their tails off to bring in more revenue. However, it never seems to translate into actual growth, stability, or money in their pockets.

What they don’t realize is that the answer is in their numbers.

I’ve always loved numbers. I fell in love with them doing the books for my mom’s little shop on Main Street, and that love drove me to earn my Masters of Professional Accountancy. Now my specialty is helping business owners unlock their numbers—to see where they are, where they want to go, and how they can get there.
