The biggest take-aways from the first GROWTH/PROFIT Workshops

Two weeks ago I nervously hit "Start Meeting" on the first iteration of the GROWTH/PROFIT Paradox™ workshops, and I am so glad I didn't chicken out.

It's weird how things work out so well when you look at them in the rear-view mirror.

When I think about the women in that Zoom room, I am such a huge fan of each one of them. They all have that little spark of life, are bursting with talent and want nothing more than to be a really great business owner.

They understand and own the responsibility of being a "Business Owner" better than most Fortune 500 CEOs who, in reality, have very little skin in the game.

MY people (yes, mine <3) want their skills as a business owner to step up to the level of skill they have in serving their clients.  MY people use their passions and talents to serve THEIR people, and want solid business processes and skills to match.

So back to the workshop:

From the feedback I got, I'm confident they are well on their way the "getting a handle on this business thing."

The attendees:

“Loved the zoom. Got my gears going as always! I liked the exercise and did it with our two general managers in a meeting last night… it was a nice spark.

It also forced me to dig into the finances again yesterday. Since our session….Things are looking promising over the next few months. I’m really thankful for you!” - Lacy

On the GROWTH/PROFIT Paradox™ Model:

“This makes a ton of sense to me, because I feel like you just described my business in different years. Like, it really does. It makes a ton of sense.”

“Even though we're not necessarily told that this is the case, we have this expectation that growth is linear. And it's simply not.”

You Don’t REALLY Need Clean Books:

Having “clean books” is NOT, in fact, a prerequisite to understanding your own business through the GROWTH/PROFIT Paradox™ lens.

TBH, I was a little worried about this one. Even as much as I poke fun at the accounting industry, it’s still hard to admit that you have a great business without speaking “accounting” fluently.

As long as you know where you are in the Growth/Profit Cycle and understand the signals for what’s working and what’s not, you will be OK.

Certainly “Clean Books” make your tax professional’s life easier, but it’s not the Ultimate Answer for The Most Perfect Business Ever award.

Class Size:

Nine attendees is just about perfect. Any more than that and I think it will lose its personal, high-touch experience.

Price:

When asked, attendees said that they would have easily paid $150 to $350 per session to attend…

Upgrade:

… and requested the ability to “upgrade” to a VIP day after the workshop. (Stay tuned!!)

Bottom line:

I will be running the workshops again on Feb 28 and March 2 (11AM PT / 1PM CT / 2PM ET ).

The sessions will be capped at 10 participants each, and prices will be going up to $150 for the first session and $50 for the second.

If you would like to reserve your seat now at the original rate ($79 for the first workshop, and $29 for the second), shoot me a message and I will send you a special registration link to get in on this deal before I open it up to the general public.

(Pssst….There will also be an opportunity to book a VIP day with me. Deets to come.)

As Gloria Staats said after the workshops:

“LOVED the workshop, peeps will be running your way once the word gets out. You speak to our souls. :-)”

I can’t wait to see you there!
